Enhance everyday life. This theme motivates our intent to create, improve, better and enrich the lives of those around us through our work, designs, and ideas. This Thanksgiving, we extended our passion for designing healthy livable spaces a step further by helping to nourish our communities.
Did you know?
- 1 in 7 San Diegans don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
- 1 in 4 residents is in need of food assistance in San Francisco and Marin counties.
Keeping the above numbers in mind, the SGPA team set out to feed 5,000 children, adults, and seniors in San Diego, San Francisco, and Marin counties this fall – just in time for Thanksgiving.
With the help of outside collaborators, we launched an employee driven food and donation effort that ran for nine weeks to benefit local food banks.
To date, our employee driven Thanksgiving food drive has funded 8,195 meals.
