"By listening well to stakeholders we can develop authentic, contextual environments that encourage and celebrate social gathering."
Consulting Designer —
David mentors and advises SGPA’s design teams from our San Francisco office, where he has served since 1993. A big-picture thinker, he enjoys planning and designing large-scale, multi-building projects that create a place for public gathering and interaction.
Over his three decades of professional experience David has designed master plans and building projects in eight U.S. states, Bosnia, Guam, Japan, Mexico, New Caledonia, and Thailand. From retail and mixed-use to hospitality and high-density residential, his work has encompassed both the public and private sectors.
He infuses each project with urban design principles—walkability, connectivity, density, diversity, sustainability—enjoying the complex problem solving and collaboration that leads to engaging design.
