Converted office space provides an OSHPD 3-compliant safety net clinic that offers primary health care for adults, women’s and mental health services, HIV/AIDS testing and treatment, and wellness services including acupuncture, education, and social services resources.

SGPA provided building assessment, programming, design, documentation, permit processing, and construction administration for this new tenant improvement.

With 22 exam rooms and six counseling rooms, this LEED Gold criteria building maximizes patient exposure to natural light, views, and the exterior while they receive care. The exceptional level of universal design features accommodate multiple disabilities. The clinic includes a large, open workspace that is shared by all providers and staff in an effort to promote communication and complete patient-centered care. The space also includes a wellness center where patients can participate in acupuncture treatment, group and prenatal exercise, nutrition and cooking demonstrations, and prenatal counseling.
