The Shops at La Jolla Village is an existing 205,028 square foot mixed-use development of retail, office and residential uses on a 15 acre site located at the northeast corner of Villa La Jolla Drive and Nobel Drive.
The renovation project has three components: the demolition of existing retail and residential buildings; the reconfiguration of the main parking field; and construction of three new retail buildings, including a new Nordstrom Rack. Upon completion in 2016 the project will have 210,631 square feet of mixed-use development including retail, office, and residential uses.
The Shops at La Jolla Village offers this affluent area of San Diego modern retail design with all glass storefronts. Located in close proximity to UCSD, all of the residential apartments on site are designated for student use. Our design suits the needs of all shoppers with a modern design that can attract a higher class of tenants.
The biggest challenge was providing enough parking to justify the additional square footage. Through our extensive site planning experience we were able to squeeze the minimum amount of parking required to serve the proposed retail square footage.
